I sat down on the the floor, shocked at the thought of becoming a large flying beast and also my humanity slowly fading into a reptilian state. I could feel my eyes swell up with tears and the moment I blinked they started to leak and it wasn't long before a puddle of tears appeared accross the floor. Matthew sat down next to me and gave me handkerchief to wipe my face down. I inhaled and exhaled deeply to calm myself down then looked at Matthew.
"...How long do you think I have, before I fully change? I asked him. He clapped his hands together then turned to me.
"I don't know, that's if they catch you. See, they have now found out how to fully change the human body into something else. The DNA that the scientists administer is in two doses: One to start the basic change to shape the body and the second is to finish the change off with final details. This erases all traces of anything that could resemble a human. They have only given you the first." He replied. I stared at him blankly, he then tried to put it simpler. "Okay...When your fist dose is finished, you will be like a half dragon. I'd wager you would still have hair, you can stand on two legs, you may still be able to talk and still have all your memories. The next will change all of that." I took it all in, everything he told me I listend to.
"But that still dosn't explain how long I have got left. They injected me with the stuff about an hour ago."
"Hmm. You already have some change to your body. Emotions controll the speed I think, anger will quicken the proccess whereas being calm will slow it down. The trouble is though, your body starts getting used to the change and it will gradually go faster as time passes." I was lost. Time was not on my side at all, even right now some part of me was going to further change.
"Well. I doubt my family would mind raising a dragon as a son, with my parents thinking they are dragons they would do a pretty good job keeping me if I were to return home..." I said with a small laugh following behind.
"heh, true. Actually that reminds me of something. I believe your mother wanted you to give me a letter; have you got it?" I looked up and thought for a second then looked back down.
"No sorry, I posted it through your letter box" He then sighed deeply.
"Nevermind, we should be able to get out of here soon." I got up and Matthew did as well, then I glared at him.
"Hang on! Shoulden't we find something to change me back?"
"I don't know if that's possible. We can have a look around, but we must open all the doors first." He immediatly walked off, when he left the room my head started to hurt, it felt as if a brick hit me from behind and my vision went blury. Matthew came back into to room and I fell to my knees. I kept my eyes firmly shut and gritted my teeth. After about five minutes I could pull myself up. I saw Matthew tilt his head to me. My eyes showed things differently, I could still see colour but not in the same way as I did before.
"Your eyes Greg. They have turned yellow! Your pupils as well, they are...Slits. And your ears...well..." I then put my paw on my ear and felt it. It didn't feel normal, I then saw some lockers that showed my reflection. I walked up to the lockers and looked closely. I had grown two sharp fangs where my Canines were. My eyes looked reptillian and my ears looked like fins with a red membrain. I twitched it slightly then walked away.
"Greg? Are you okay? I paused for a while and replied.
"Yeah. But I think it's not right to call me Greg anymore. It may be best to call me Aeros now."
Took a lot longer to make this one but I actually enjoyed making it. It's nice to have free time again. Next part might hopefully be on Monday.
